BARNI Band - Rogaška SlatinaBarni band prihaja iz Rogaške Slatine, znanega zdravilišča ob meji z Republiko Hrvaško. Ko se je Aleš Boroš - Barni po nekaj kantavtorskih nastopih 1996 odločil vso stvar vzeti bolj resno v roke, je k sodelovanju povabil Gorana Koražijo - Gorča, s katerim sta potem kot duo odigrala nekaj lokalnih koncertov. Ob odločitvi, da posname svoj prvi CD, je s pomočjo Gorana, ki je odigral vse kitare, basista Boštjana Brantuše, bobnarja Blaža Tepeša in producenta Zvonka Tepeša začel 1997 s snemanjem prvih pesmi v studiu Bon-Ton v Rogatcu. Tistega leta je že bila formirana prva ekipa Ba-ba (beri Barni banda) za nastope v živo. Bojan Mesarič za bobni, Boštjan Tramšek bas kitara (na nekaj prvih nastopih je bas kitaro odigral Boštjan Brantuša), Gorč in Barni so skozi leto odigrali deset samostojnih koncertov predvsem po lokalnih klubih in diskotekah. 1998 se je nadaljevalo z nastopi in s snemanjem pesmi v studio. Iz raznoraznih razlogov je nato prišlo do skoraj leto in pol nedelovanja Barni banda. Jeseni 2002 se je pomlajena ekipa glasbenikov spet zbrala v kleti kulturnega doma v Rogaški Slatini. Skupaj z Barnijem in Goranom so sedaj v skupini še: Darko Hustič - bas kitara, Boštjan Imenšek - ritem kitara in Vid Žgajner - bobni.

Rock Otočec is a music festival, traditionally held at an idyllic spot next to the Otočec castle at the castle bathing spot of the river Krka. Otočec (meaning island in Slovenian) is located just out of the town Novo mesto, which lies half way between the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, and that of Croatia, Zagreb (70 km distance from both cities). The festival attracts between 4 and 8 thousand visitors daily. It has hosted well-known music artists in the past years, among them: Fun Lovin Criminals, Living Colour, Asian Dub Foundation, Henry Rollins, Dog Eat Dog, Liquido, The Toasters, H-Blockx, Emil Bulls, Primal Fear, Fishbone, Stereo MC's, Fundamental, Apocalyptica,
Chumbawamba … Yet more than music this festival is marked by the numerous and varied activities of its daily programme. Street theatre performances, creative workshops in different skills, clowns, jongleurs, and many more give the Festival its distinguishing note, all being topped by the unique games and joys in the mud-pool, especially the Miss and Mister Mud selections, Rock Otočec Model competition and Football Matches.
